Day three of our trip to Benidorm was probably my favourite of the entire trip (minus the fact it was our last day which was very upsetting, at this point I really didn’t want to leave!!)
We all woke up well rested from another fabulous nights sleep at our beautiful hotel and headed for breakfast by the pool in the glorious morning sun before we had to meet our Visit Benidorm guide Sergio at the main reception.
Once Sergio had arrived, we were then met shortly after by a lovely man who pulled up in his open top safari style jeep from Marco Polo Expeditiones. This was one thing I had never even considered doing when I first thought of visiting Benidorm as you don’t usually hear many people who go to Benidorm rave about its mountainous sights but more of its non stop party lifestyle so we were all very intrigued
The jeep took us up to the Sleeping Lion Mountain and also the Sierra Cortina and I honestly can’t put into words how stunning the views were!!
We then headed further into the mountains and away from the hustle and bustle to two gorgeous little villages called Polop and Guadelest where we enjoyed a stroll and even more sangria of course 😉 just pure bliss if you ask me!
After returning back to the hotel we had all decided to give the hotels lunch buffet a try as the breakfast food had been so good and OH MY it did not disappoint – quite possibly the nicest hotel food I’ve ever had, I without a doubt overindulged far too much but it was so worth it!!
Being the bloggers that we are, obsessed with locations and finding places to get the best pictures for “the gram” we were all over the moon to be taken to the Sierra Helanda National Park to see some of the most breathtaking views of the coastline and Benidorm – the pictures below hopefully give you guys an idea of how gorgeous this place/view was:
Coming to the end of our last day was extremely sad for us all but we were excited to get dressed up to enjoy an evening of cocktails on the rooftop bar at the Madiera Hotel and even more yummy tapas food. We said our goodbyes to Sergio before we returned back to our hotel feeling very thankful to have had such a wonderful guide to look after us during our time in Benidorm with Jet2 – we had the most amazing experience and my perception of a place that has a relatively negative reputation was completely changed in every way possible!!
A HUGE thank you to Visit Benidorm and the team at Jet2.com, Jet2Holidays for giving us this memorable trip.
