Benidorm – Day One

Hey babes,

I am so excited to finally be sharing this post with you all following my trip last month to Benidorm with Jet2 and Visit Beniform! Now I going to be honest with you all and say that I was really quiet unsure about this trip when the brand first reached out to me and I am pretty sure most of you guys reading this will in some way or another be familiar with the negative reputations/press that Benidorm so often recieves but I wanted to give it a chance and make up my own mind on this trip as I had every faith in Jet2 as a brand and felt confident that they would look after me :)

Airport and Flight

There were 6 of us bloggers all together who were attending this trip but as we all lived in different parts of the country it made sense for each of us to fly from the airport that was nearest to us so myself and another lovely blogger called primrose were booked to fly from Stansted :) We both stayed in London the night before and got to the airport super early in the morning ready for our 6am flight, we got ourselves checked in and at this point myself and Primrose felt SO thankful for the amazing 22kg luggage allowance that we were given by Jet2 – as a fashion blogger this made life so much easier 😉

Thankfully Jet2 had arranged for us to visit the Escape Lounge at the airport so we could chill out and relax somewhere comfortable while we waited to board and my gosh this was the best thing ever!!! Fresh coffee on tap, prosecco (obviously we had to drink this even at 5am haha) and a super yummy buffet breakfast bar that we could induldge in to our hearts delight.

The flight itself was a dream, no issues at all and everything ran smoothy and on time. Was genuinely really impressed with Jet2 as a brand and the service we recieved, all of their staff were so welcoming and accommodating which was so nice and absolutely not always the case when I have travelled in the past with different airlines! Pricing wise the flights as such good value for money and I would really recommend checking them out when looking to book flights and/or holidays combined, they have amazing prices and the main thing for me is that they are reliable!

Arrival to Benidorm, Transfers and Hotel

So we made it to Benidorm and after walking into arrivals we were met by our transfer driver who was ready and waiting for us to take us to our hotel. We all arrived at slightly different times so myself and the first batch who arrived were taken back to the hotel to get sorted before the others arrived a little later. This transfer was a massive perk in my opinion and can be booked directly through Jet2Holidays to make everything that little bit easier :)

After a 45 minute drive we arrived at our hotel, Melia Villaitana and WOW it was absolutely stunning! I was completely blown away as soon as we arrived and felt a HUGE amount of relief as immediately I knew this trip was going to be a good one, it really didn’t look like that stereotypical ‘Benidorm’ at all and so many of my friends couldn’t believe it when I told them where I was. I was at this point ready to spent 3 nights in pure luxury and bliss :)

After checking ourselves in to our rooms we had a quick freshen up before we all got together in the main reception to meet with our guide Sergio who was working alongside Visit Benidorm to ensure we had the best possible time during our stay. First stop, (as we were all starving at this point) thankfully was a beautiful little restaurant called Ulia right by the beach overlooking endless palm trees which as you can image was like heaven for me 😉 We enjoyed some traditional Spanish Paella and wine before our first little adventure began on the electric bikes which was honestly just so much fun, we rode all around the mountain side and saw some truly breathtaking views with numerous fits of laughter in-between! This is definitely an activity I would recommend and you can book it for yourself using this link –

Once we had all made it back in one piece and returned out bikes we headed back to the hotel for a quick freshen up before dinner. Sergio took us to a beautiful cliff side restaurant which was part of a 5* hotel called Magic Villa Venecia, we watched the sunset on the cliff side and took some photos before we went inside to feast – the food here was out of this world and I was so impressed with the quality and variations of food we were able to try – it was all just DELICIOUS and the views were beautiful, a true hot spot in my opinion and somewhere you must go if you visit Benidorm!

With very full and satisfied bellys we made our way back to the hotel to get a good nights sleep in our OUTRAGEOUSLY comfortable 4 poster beds so we could be fresh and ready for Day Two. I hope you have enjoyed this post and my next posts talking about Day Two and Three will be up for you guys to read soon :)

Lots of love,

Victoria xx
